Mr. Sanders has extensive experience resolving the real estate problem assets of financial institutions having restructured, repositioned and disposed of Bank real estate troubled loans and REO assets totaling more than $4 Billion. In addition, Mr. Sanders has managed several substantial loan portfolio sales for financial institutions.
Mr. Sanders has over 32 years experience in the financial service industry. He began his varied banking career at Union Bank in 1977, working in the Commercial Lending Group as Senior Loan and Credit Officer for the Century City Region. His other experiences at Union Bank included the complete restructure of the Bank’s Asset Based Lending Department as well as Team Leader of the Real Estate Construction Loan Department for Orange County, California.
In the mid-80’s, he joined Merrill Lynch and became the Director for the Western United States of Real Estate Asset Recovery, managing the restructure and disposition of over $1 Billion of problem real estate assets. Mr. Sanders then spent 10 years with Seafirst/Bank of America where he restructured, redeveloped and sold over $1 Billion of substandard real estate. In addition, he completed several substantial loan portfolio sales for the Bank.
In 2000, Mr. Sanders founded Orion Real Estate Advisors, the real estate affiliate of the 100-year law firm, Graham & Dunn PC, to provide real estate advisory to banking, corporate and real property owner clients. Other services provided by Orion are substantial work-out advisory services as well as asset repositioning and construction management services. |
